1.Basic Aviation Technology

Course Description:

This is a prerequisite certificate training program for beginners to unlocking the mysteries surrounding the aviation industry and gives participants the basic foundation to choose different career path and job opportunities available in the field of aviation. The BAT Syllabus is developed to also get participants prepared for the commencement of their Core Courses before advancing to specialized discipline.

DURATION:
The Basic Aviation Technology is offered every month from the beginning of the year and usually starts the first week of the month.
In the course of the program, students attend classes four (04) days every week during four (4) weeks. Each class lasts for four (04) hours, including a 30 minute lunch break. Part time course can be offered two days a week on Monday/Tuesday or Wednesday/Thursday. Weekend program is offered on Saturday only.

ENTRY REQUIREMENT

The minimum requirement is; a students must have obtained minimum of 5 credits in WASC or NECO O'Level including English and Mathematics or Technical with atleast a CGPA of 2.0


1.1 ENTRY REQUIREMENT FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
Students must complete at least 12 years of education and obtained a secondary school certificate or higher. International students should also have TOEFL if their primary language is not English. Students who can demonstrate a proficiency in English are exempted from taking any English Placement Test (EPT) / English Preparatory Programs (EPP) courses: TOEFL scores 500 (paper based test), 195 (computer based test), 70 (internet based test) and IELTS score of 5.5




Employment Prospect:
Basic Aviation Technology Course certificate can be used to obtain entry level employment in the aviation industry.

2.Applied Aviation Science


Program Description:

The Certificate course in Applied Aviation Science is an eighteen months program that introduces students to the broad spectrum of aviation knowledge that will be needed as they progress in their aviation careers. This course is useful to beginning pilots, as well flight Attendants and Dispatchers. The core courses are developed to get the students prepared for advancement into specialized discipline and IFR operations.




DURATION:

The Applied Aviation Science program is a Twelve to Eighteen month program. 




ENTRY REQUIREMENT

Mininum requirement is OND in any Science or Engineering related course. 


  1.1 ENTRY REQUIREMENT FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
Students must have completed atleast a Diploma program in any science or engineering related course. International students should also have TOEFL if their primary language is not English. Students who can demonstrate a proficiency in English are exempted from taking any English Placement Test (EPT) / English Preparatory Programs (EPP) courses: TOEFL scores 500 (paper based test), 195 (computer based test), 70 (internet based test) and IELTS score of 5.5.

Applied Aviation Course certificate can be used to obtain entry level employment in private, commercial and instrument piloting.
